Australian Stunt Academy Training
It’s been a crazy few weeks to say the least! I just finished the 2-week Professional Course at the Australian Stunt Academy & I can’t explain the rush I am feeling (& the blues now that it is over!)
I had the most amazing time, learning so many new skills – Highfalls, Fireburns, Fight Choreography, Martial Arts, Wirework, Car Hits & Drags, Stairfalls, Windowbreaks, Safety & Teamwork to name a few! It was a physically gruelling 10 days but the adrenaline kept us all going! I made some wonderful new friends who I know I will keep in touch with forever. 10 other crazy misfits like myself who were crazy & ballsy enough to enrol in the course.
My favourite part? Definitely fire! I think I might have found my stunt calling! So many of the skills I learnt will be of great value in my acting work, so I’m glad I took the plunge & did this training.
Unfortunately I injured myself halfway through the course, so I wasn’t able to complete everything at full pace, so I am heading back in September to do it all again! Can’t wait!
