Underwater Shoot in LA

18th June

The day before I left the States I had one last exciting experience – shooting underwater with another amazing LA female photographer, Eryn Brydon & Hair & MUA Suzy Balderas.

The theme was “Dark Mermaids” & with Suzy’s creative talent we created some amazing looks incorporating opaque skull lines & iridescent splashes of colour.

Stepping into the water I knew the task ahead of me would be challenging, however I had no idea just how so!  Shooting underwater is quite difficult & I have a new found respect for the models & photographers now.  Focusing on body form, air bubbles, timing,  wardrobe (some of it was quite heavy & swimming in a mermaid tail is also not easy!), light markers, etc all whilst trying to hold my breath for as long as possible was truly hard work, but I loved every minute of …

LA Woman-inspired Shoot with Jessica Robles

3rd June

I was looking forward collaborating with a few local photographers during my visit.  The months leading up to my trip I was doing my research & I stumbled across Jessica Robles & I just knew I wanted to work with her while I was in town.

I was blessed to have the amazingly talented Hair & MUA Britt Kaye, who created the most amazing retro-insured faux finger-waved bob & classic makeup with bold red lips – I was defiantly feeling some Norma …

Headshot session with Daniel Sommer

27th April

Last month I had the pleasure of working with Daniel Sommer for a headshot session in his Sydney studio.

I was one of the lucky handful of people to be chosen for the shoot, organised by The Right Fit, WINK Model Management & Daniel himself.   With Olimpia Zajac as the MUA Sydney Makeup Artist Nicola Johnson tending to my locks, I was certainly in the best of hands!

I love Daniel’s commitment to capturing the true essence of his subject. He is so particular about his angles & getting just that right look on your eye. He is extremely against heavy makeup & this shoot was the barest my face has ever been for an up-close shoot. For a model this can be daunting, but I was really happy with the end product, some fantastic natural shots to add to my …
