The theme was “Dark Mermaids” & with Suzy’s creative talent we created some amazing looks incorporating opaque skull lines & iridescent splashes of colour.
Stepping into the water I knew the task ahead of me would be challenging, however I had no idea just how so! Shooting underwater is quite difficult & I have a new found respect for the models & photographers now. Focusing on body form, air bubbles, timing, wardrobe (some of it was quite heavy & swimming in a mermaid tail is also not easy!), light markers, etc all whilst trying to hold my breath for as long as possible was truly hard work, but I loved every minute of it & didn’t want to get out of the pool. After about 5 hours, my sultana fingers told me it was well & truly time.
Here are some of the BTS & first edits, look out for more in the gallery soon!
