Hosting the 2017 Brisbane Fashion Runway
What an honour it was to host the 2017 Brisbane Fashion Runway! I was blown away by the talent at Brisbane’s most glamorous event of the year. Eight emerging Australian fashion labels showcased their designs to an audience of fashion experts & glitterati – the energy in that room was absolutely pumping! A huge testament to the level of fashion-design talent here in Australia.
I had so many people ask me about the gown I wore – I was delighted to be wearing the “Valentine” gown from Grace and Hart, thanks to GlamCorner who dressed me on the night. GlamCorner are an online designer fashion hire studio, stocking everything from Zimmermann to Thurley. Perfect for an event or special occasion! Check them out here
It wouldn’t be a night out in Brisbane without the bright lights of the Valley setting the scene – a huge thanks to TRYP Brisbane for putting me up in one of their funky spa-balcony rooms, complete with welcome Vegan fudge awaiting my arrival (they know the way to my heart!). TRYP is possibly the coolest hotel I’ve stayed in, a unique urban accommodation located in Fortitude Valley featuring striking artworks by world-acclaimed street artists, with each floor devoted to the artworks of a particular artist. (I stayed on Numskull’s 3rd floor.) . Check out TRYP here
The 2nd annual BFR was a huge success & quickly sold out – be sure to follow the event on social media & grab your tickets for the 2018 show when announced.
Thanks to my awesome “AV man” Tony Andrews for keeping the great vibe throughout the show & last but not least, the event Directors Amy Kauler & Tanya Bali for a fabulous night, I’m looking forward to next year!
